Thinking about selling my 4K...

Keep your 4000 Summer 2000 because, like you said, you'd hate to let it go. If you've grown to love something or someone, you should try not to let it or them go. If you want something else besides your 4000, save up and add it to the crew. It would prove how much you believed in it. I think you'd really hate it if, you lost what was good to you, for something that wasn't what you thought it would be. In my opinion, you've come too far for that.

Yeah you're right. I know I would regret if I sold it. My best tracks to date have been made solely on the MPC. If I can add to I will, if not I'll have to enjoy the MPC for what it offers!

Install those on a laptop with a good soundcard & youre more portable then you would be with the Oasys. Plus you can choose the AD´s & pres

Im gonna buy a bag for my mpc so I can travel and go somewhere else to do some sessions with my entire setup (except for the keys, allthough there is portable keys + soundcard usb stuff enough to buy)
In fact, you can do complete recording sessions with just the mpc4000 and OS 1.60 and above. You will just need a pre. Remember that the AD´s & DA´s on the MPC4000 are superb! They are excellent! I dont know if the Oasys has a couple of these
I record most of my stuff to the mpc & then drag it through usb or pipeline via adat. Everything wich comes into my computer, first went through the AD´s from the mpc4000

I would keep the 4000 get yaself a triton used and ya good to go. The effects on the triton are great in my opinion. you can even use the trton as an effects outboard and sample back to the mpc. It has dual arrp., and many other features. If you really need multitracking then get one of the roland VS series. Man i'll sell you my vs880 lol!!! Not to compare or try to be like anyone but Kanye did his first album on his mpc2000xl, turntable, and his roland multitrack. Always remember the less you have the more creative you are forced to be.
