Isn't IKEA from your neck of the woods? They've got cheap desks and so on. Check them out. There's something called a Jerk or something like that that people seem to like and it's pretty cheap too.

Make sure you get some with wheels. I purchase the small studio table from guitar center ($199). It has a 10year warranty on it. Those wheels are a life saver.

Omnirax prices range from 399.00 to 3000.00. Studio furniture is usually expensive and most units run between 300.00-1000.00 but they're worth it in my opinion. Check out Raxxess, Middle Atlantic Products and Quiklok. Most of the on-line music stores carry all of these brands. I had a custom worksation built for 600.00 which was a little cheaper then the omnirax model I based it on. You can always go to Wal-Mart and get a few of those 20.00 dollar shelves and configure them however you like. I had all my equipment on them until a couple of years ago and they worked pretty good.
