help!!!!!!! panning damn

I set the panning for a tom sound to go right and left in the mpc but it doesn't work. I'm running my mpc to a mackie1402 vlzpro mixer. Its just fine if i plug the moniters in stereo out right and left but when i run it to mixer doesn't work. Please tell what i'm doing wrong.

are u running it through the 8 outs? if so, all of those samples r mono, and ur putting them into mono channels on the mackie--resulting in mono sound and no pans

Are you going from the stereo outs to two different mixer channels?

Have you got those mixer channels panned hard left & right?

If:

- 2 Mono Channels, Pan hard lef & Right
- 1 Stereo Channel, try panning in MPC
