"How?" like "how do I do this?", or how like,
"how is this bad?"?

If it's the second, all I can say is,
I am not a computer genius, all I know is,
anyone from a beat-nerd to a
computer guru will tell you the
same, never record what is refered to
as 'rich media' (audio or video) to the
same drive with the system software.
It can't decipher file fragments and
push that much data while keeping the
system running smooth on the same drive.
While it's seeking on the disk, it's also trying to seek
to get program and OS protocall, and process the audio
all throught the same drive, so it F's it up royally.
But go ahead, record to the system drive, or even a
partition of it. It won't hurt me if 3 months from now
you lose all you're music. You'll be safe for a while,
and then you'll be pissed that I was right.
Just learn from my mistake and
don't do it.

Damn that sucks. Are you running a external drive now?
