Get yourself a Compact flash-card USB reader for your PC. It's extremely convinient and cheap as f**k!

Just get a 512 or 1gb CF card, and you can switch between your PC and MPC as much as you want, without worrying about corrupt files that can come with the USB.

yeah i love taking the card out while the mpc is on, putting it in the reader, loading a sample I just realized I need for my program, and then putting it back in, free to save later with no problems

... and you say that like everyone knows.

Maybe someone who just bought an MPC1000 yesterday will come here and find that message useful.

I do this with my 2kxl, it's a good way to operate for me. I have 1 512mb card. I have 2 folders on it, one for my Triton Extreme and one for my MPC. I just pop into whatever machine I feel like messing with that day. SOOO easy. I can also use my USB 256mb thumb drive for load/save on my Triton Extreme. Love it..

I got one that you mount on the front of the PC. Hook up a bunch of wires to the MB and you are good to go. Much easier that having to add one more cable to my already messy studio..

like this one, but mine has a usb2.0 port too... cost like 15 bucks

or u can keep your CF card in the 1K and just use a direct connection from the 1k to the pc via usb cable.

yeah but that can make your files go corrupt and shit. i dont trust it! :P

i haven't had a problem either. The only thing that i don't like is having to unhook it everytime i need to go back to use the mpc. Ooh well
