Sample Dump Via Midi on the MPC2000?

Hello I am an MPC 2000 v1.7 owner and I just purchased and MPC60IIv2.14.

1.Is it possible to perform a closed midi loop sample dump from a 2000 to 60?
2. If possible how?

I think you can do one from a 60 to 2000.

2000 does not support sample dump.

Thanks awww that sucks well thats was a way I was gonna get over on the transfer of sounds from one sampler to another oh well.

Deep you cant start a thread without "properly" ending one. There are people on here that haven't figured it out. So if you know somethingh tell it. Like you needed the answer so does someone else

MPC 2000 with v 1.7 does support sample dump.

I was able to dump samples from my s1000 to mpc 2000 and back again, so I don't know why people are saying it cant be done. Maybe it can't be done with an 2000XL, but its fine with the old school 2000.

There is a sample dump menu, that you have to switch to before the MPC will recieve samples over midi.

Don't have my MPC with me, but it shouldn't be too hard to find. Check "other."

As I said, I was able to transmit from s1000 to mpc2000, but I don't know about the MPC60, however if it has sample dump then there shouldn't be a problem......

However the difference in bits between the two MPCs (60 has 12, 2000 has 16) my make your 60 samples sound slower when played in the 2000, so you'll have to tune them up.

But like I said, I don't have a sixty so I can't be sure.

WOW sorry guys. descartes is correct you can perorm a midi sample dump on the 2000 as my experience goes I am not sure if the 2000xl can. I dont think so since a few people on hear go along speading the word that it isnt possible. I will explain it completely step by step when i get back home. I want to make sure I am telling yall right. Now, about the dumping to the 60 and vice versa. I dump some samples to 2k from the MPC 60 and I have not experienced any detunning however I was dumping drum samples soooo, that could be why I wouldnt have recognized any differences. Lastly its not in any of the manuals however it could have been mentioned in the Ammedum V1.7 for the MPC2000. So if you all have access to that I would say dload that and review it. I have the ammendum in a pdf file somewhere I will upload to the yahoo MPC 2000 site when I find it. Sorry once again I didnt not know others had responded. I hang out alot in the MPC 60 area recently.

Midi Dump is available on the XL - I do it all the time.

Midi SAMPLE dump homies not Midi dump its sll together different. Transfering samples from one Sampler to another and vice versa. Ohhh AAHHHH yeah now ya seee got it?

Has anyone done a MPC60 to MPC2k dump? does it change sample pitch? Thinking of getting 60 to accomodate 2kxl.

YES, I have done a Midi sample dump from the MPC2000 to MPC60II but I did not notice any pitch change however I was dumping a few kick drums. So I would have to experiment to see if that does occur.

YO just to clear up something here cause I think a few of you are like Wildin' Out on the Rookies on this subject: THE MPC2000(nonxl) MANUAL DOES NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT MIDI SAMPLE DUMPING.

If someone could find out if it is mentioned in amedndum please point it out. I dont have XL so I wouldnt know anything about its capabilities. When I asked I clearly stated I had an MPC2000(nonxl). Sorry for the confusion fellas.
