I had the orignal OS and when sampling you had to enter the aount of time you wanted to sample.. (eg: 5 seconds) and it would record for 5 seconds.. compared to all the other models(2K series, 1K, 4K) where you just press record n stop when you were done... with the 3000 OS in the 60, do you still have to pre determine the sampling time b4 you sample.. or does it now become record/stop?

Yeah you still have to set how long you want to sample.

Yeah you do have to pre determine the sample time, but you no longer have the 5 second limit.

The 2000xl is still the same way, I think the default is 10sec.

And melle, the OS is 3.10 ;)

You won't get the 3.10 OS until you use it. The 60 is greater than the sum of it's parts because they integrate so well. probably better than Any MPC because there is less to sum and more room to do it with. Somehow most other MPC's actually add up to less than all their parts because you end up having to go around the parts you don't use and you really can't use all of them. so it's all in the summing ;)
