is it possible, to delete all samples, sequences, programs that are currently loaded (i mean clearing the whole ram)? the only way i found out is turning the mpc off an switch it on again... :(

my workflow is currently the following:

start mpc (nothing loaded), load some samples from cf and assign them to the pads, rock some seqs and then save entire memory to cf
if i want to start out again for example, ill have to switch the mpc off and then on again...

are there any better technics?

I just figured this out...you have to format the Flash Card. I believe you go to the save window and click on the "Window button by the Data Wheel...should be lit up..this will bring up another window from there it's pretty easy....check your manual under "Formating a CF card..I think it will be on or around pg. 82 ....I'm going off of memory right now.

Make a blank sequence with all your favourite settings...eg. starting BPM etc and track names...program name...don't load any samples. Save as a project. When you want to clear your memory just load in the project and it will clear everything and you can start with blank slate.

i actually prefer what sumedho was saying earlier.

just turn on the mpc with nothing loaded and save that as a blank project.
then you can load this blank project and it blanks everything out.

sometimes you dont want to have to load stuff up if you are trying to just clear the current memory (example: if you are about to sample a bunch of stuff at one time)....

is there a way to delete the internal memory?

yes. i have done it. when i turn my mpc on, there is no pgm, no seq and no song.

the way i did it was go into program, mode + pad 7, on the top you will see prg names highlight the pgm and press the window button, select delete. do that for all the pgms. then go into song mode, delete everything from in there, then go to the main page and delete all of the seqs. then turn autoload on internal memory off. make sure you are not putting in the CF card that came with the mpc that still have all the pgms on it. turn off the mpc and turn it back on and you should come to the main screen with an empty seq 1 and for pgm, it should say program 1
