Record tracks from MPC into Multitracking software in sync

How do I record separate tracks from the MPC into multitracking software such as Cubase, Adobe Audition etc and get them all in SYNC with each other so tahy play as beautifully as they do in the MPC.

Is it a case of MTC (Midi Time Code) or SMPTE. I am sure there may be many forums already posted regarding this issue, but I am finding it tremendously hard to locate them, even with the search engine option on the screen.

Please may someone provide me with an answer, and also send the links regarding to previous posts which will be of great help to me.

We all understand you are finding it hard to find stuff but that's also asking someone to do your homework for you, ya feel?

Your gonna have to record each track individually into your multitrack software.

you are going to have a great time recording each track seperate, track by track, cause thats your only hope to recording all the tracks in seperately with a push of the button, even though that takes way less time off of your hands, but until u get the eight outs, you get to sit back and record the normal way you have been recording, except, track by track into the computer....

what if you had the eight outs? im thinkin about gettin a mixer (prolly a mackie 1604) or a dps16. would just the mixer be suffificent to straight up plug into my soundcard and record separate tracks or would i need an interface on my computer that has 8 outs too? the laptop i currently have apparently has some problems wit runnin the digi 002 or i prolly would just cop that ... so im searchin for other alternatives because i dont wanna get a new laptop....if i got the dps16 i wouldnt have to worry about the computer, but theres some gay limitations to it when recording in 24/96 so if this is possible id rather get a mixer and be on my way...thanks

I believe that if you got a mixer and still ran the mixer into L and R input on the PC interface, all your tracks on the MPC would still be recorded on 1 track in the PC app unless you recorded them 1 by one. You would need the 8 output option for the MPC and a PC interface that had 8 inputs to do what you want to do. If you sync the 2 (PC app and MPC) it shouldn't take but so long to record each track individually.

u got a lot of options depending on your software that you are using, and as far as what kinda audio recording interface to you... along with finding something thats compatible with your computer, and the kinda money u wanna spend... yours truly "ME", i run the 002.... but anyway, make sure whatever u get, u get at least 8 inputs into the audio interface to record into your software wit, and u might wanna try some USB MIDI Cables if its not on the audio interface that can help you sync the MPC easier, unless you wanna just do it manually

Yeah man, I got the 001, not too long ago for $300. It's lovely.
Peeps NEED a multiple INS soundcard/interface when doing what is described here though, any other way will involve alot of time.

If you got 8 outs & you got a interface with 10 inputs you could record 10 tracks at once which should give you enough to record song in one swoop. But then you get into preamps with as many inputs, man this shit is exspensive! digi 001 has 2 inputs with preamps & digi 002 has 4 inputs with preamps so if you had 8 out you still would only be able to record 2 or 4 at a time no how. Getting around midi cost doe!

that all depends if u wanna put the pre's on those other tracks though... but yeah, u can record 10 total at one time with the MPC... if u use the 8 outs and the 2 main stereo outs...good lookin out

soo as I read it I was like, is he serious? not wha u asked really its what u said afterwards i thought was taking the piss!

anyway, a kool tip - play each track one by one into Cubase etc, on every treack but a 1bar loop of kicks, this way all u have to do is line up all the kicks making the tracks play in sync, u can remove the kicks after wards cause there only used a guide to know where each track goes. etc.

though get a 8in card asap cause it makes life easier!

I get where mans may b coming from and all dat, and bredrin plz accept dat i am new to all this......if I am using this forum as a customer support service and mistreating da rules all apologies. My point is dat the search option on this thing isn't as defined as I expected and when mans is searching for suttin it comes up with many irrelevant results to the subject content I desire. This is why I seek the knowledge of you more experienced and expert folk to either lead me to certain pages which will be of help, or assist. I respect the whole thing of self learning, and it is due to this that I have been progressing rather well in my eyes, especially in comparison to where I was when I started out. All I request is a little help when I have gone throuhg all the manuals I have, and done excessive research online and still failed to solve my problem.

That's because some idiot people (after I've begged and pleaded) don't use proper subject lines and/or descriptions when they post. Just like you said "you can't find what your looking for", that's the reason. Any other questions man, please holla. We all had to start somewhere ya dig.
