MPC60 - Need help setting up?

Wassup yall im gettin a mpc 60 after makin beats for about 2 years and im wondering how would i eq stuff? would i need a seperate eq compressor etc or has it already got them?

Haha you should definately go find that out yourself. I can't believe you spent a bunch of money on a 60 and don't even know what it is.

Just read the manual, set it up and see what you can do with what it has.

You should be getting one with the 3.10 OS or ordering the 3.10 OS, it really makes it twice the machine.

Nah man i havent bought it yet, i was jus wondering if it had an eq, im gettin it anyway but i jus wanted to know

read the manual before you buy it, you may be expecting too much.

Good advice. Read the manual before you get one. I did and it prepared me me for what to do and how to do... However I wasnt an offical "ROOKIE" I had prior knowledge of the MPC enviroment and slowly learning its culture. But if youre one of those guys who always wanted an Akai MPC, may be because youre a fan of hip hop or whatever I can understand. If thats the case make sure its a good buy. Ask around ask friends, read reviews and stalk ebay for sweet deals. Also to answer your question you may need a small mixer like a mackie or behringer to eq stuff. If you got a PC or a MAC (yaaay!) you can always eq before or after you sample with audio editing software via soundforge or any cheap/free apps online. Well thats my 2 cents brotha. Good luck.
