QUICK CHOPPING

dang ya'll i just discovered the way to chop your samples super fast. dangit i didnt know when you held shift and pressed the left direction key you can set the number place whether you want to chop by 10s 100s or 1000s .. now i dont need to use my computer at all. ahhh gyeahhhh. shit . sorry if this was a waste of a post but dang anyone who didnt already know . damnit i saw this in the manual but i didnt experiment with it. i thought it was just to put the numbers in faster. shit.

i've actually nevr experimented with this, nor the extract tool. i just do it all on my computer and get it right the first time. however, i know the frustration many producers feel having to switch back and forth between computer and mpc, so i very much understand. although i knew of this trick before, i'll try it this time. thanks for the tip.

manual chop is super easy. been doin it for a few weeks and now i'm not even concerned with the slice/zoning update. but time stretch would be a nice addition. using both the shift+> and the "play to/play from" buttons makes the process quick and accurate,

manual chopping is fine by me, but one thing that would have been nice with the zoning update is that on xl's you can pick a zone and delete that particular zone.

so say you have a good sample of a chord ringing out, but there is one louadass snare that hits in the middle of it ringing out, you can select that snare as a zone, delete it, and then you have your whole long ass sample minus the annoying loud ass snare.

pretty basic for a $1000 sampler to be able to do, but you know.....oh well....
