I just got my 1k today. I love this lil flowers. Never should have gotten rid of it in the first place. I def. made the right decision in going back to it. Hooked it up and made a quick beat in like 30 minutes, straight out the box.

I got the gig bag too. It's actually a really nice bag damnit. I'mma make some use of this. This logo is type homo, but it's still a nice bag overall.

Anyways, welcome me back muthafuccaz. I'm back to stay!!

No Diggetty.

Anyways, I did this lil quick beat just to test out if everything was working ok, including saving, and blah blah blah. It's madd basic, and a lil distorted because I haven't got the levels to where they sound right yet, but peep it anyway and let me know what you think.

hahaha Yeah, I had the 4k. After I learned it and messed with everything I realized I didn't use anything on it that was beyond what the 1k could do. I like making simple beats. Kick, snare, high hat some dope samples, that's about it. Nothing fancy. Plus I didn't care for the ultra clean sound and it took up way too much space.

When the time comes and I want a more full fledged sampler I'll just get a dope rack. I like that route much better, or I might figure out how to use Reason 3.0 as my rack sampler, but it ain't necessary. I made that beat just using the 1k as a standalone. It ain't even mixed, it's straight out the stereo outs.

The 1k is a lot more of a powerful machine than people give it credit for. Much of it's power lies in it's simplicity also.

also, I really could have gotten any mpc my heart desired, but I had to go with the 1k. It's perfect for my needs. Once I get the dps and get that rocking I should be straight. The dps should make up for the lack of good effects on the 1k, and of course more editing options are available on that. I'm really looking at that to be an extension of the mpc. The six analog ins are perfect. The 4 from the 4k and L and R from a DJ mixer. I should be straight.

Yea I luv my 1k. It is really simple bur really dope at the same time. I'm w/ you nice kick nce snare and hi hat, chop up some dope samples and I'm straight as a gate. I need any more I'll track it our into acid and funk w/ it from there are far as effects goes.
