regarding my Toshiba SR-A100...

the box say belt drive auto....

but is this good enough for "my" sampling needs aka is this table something i can use or not?

the reason i ask is this.. it plays vinyle and all that n i have it runnin to my reciever then from the reciever to the sampler st-224(brand new)

but its like at moderate levels(forget anything past the halfway point on the volume dial0 i get cRAZY loud n annoying "feedbacK'" n static n ish.. or like when i put the needle down on the record the 1st few sec's are loud hssing n static n all that..

or am i missin somethin and all that is normal part of records and playin them?

also the needle part how is that cleaned as i notice the more i play records it gets hAIRY as its somehow catchin hairs n junk..

also the dial at the base of the needle has all these numbers and stuff on it..whats that for?

yep. if all you need to do is sample, then this should be perfectly fine

as far as the feed back goes, you need to put ur table in a spot AWAY from ur speakers.

DO NOT turn the volume dial past zero on ur table, use the "reciever" to amplify the signal.

CLEAN UR FKING RECORDS BEFORE YOU PLAY THEM!!!!! THAT WILL SOLVE 99.9% OF YOUR PROBLEMS!!!!!

do you mean "needle" or "tone arm"? the "needle" is the tiny metal thing that touches the record grooves...matter of fact, its the only thing that touches the record...please specify this so we can help u.

btw...static is usually caused by the record--not the equipment. get used to the snap crackle and pop of wax...as you'll be hearing it alot more as you begin to dig deeper into them crates.

this is extremely normal. 95% of the records you'll be dealing with will have a few secs of static before the music. all that it is dirt and the wax showing its age.

i mean the tone arm, its definately NOT the needle, the arm that is attached to the needle where it touches the base of the turntable basically opposite of the needle part? feel me? its the base of where the tone arm and the needle are connected to..

that part what are those dials and adjustments for?

those numbers and dials adjust the "anti-skate" weight measurements. anti-skate is the ability to prevent the tonearm from bouncing around when you drop the needle. its kind of hard to explain, but the table makes a "brrrrrrr" sound when the needle skates.

you got it locked son!! every time i "drop" the needle i get this big old brrrrr sound..

how should i adjust that?


also no volume on my turntable... i jus simply turnd the reciever all the way down then drop the needle and then raise the volume to avoid all that feedback and such...


good lookin out tho... i'ma peep all that tonight..
