Im sure there is I thought for sure FORAT(*bling bling baby*) installs 100MB internal zips to The MPC60. I could be wrong but check it out.

These guys are totaly expensive but relevant. These folks on here might know the scoop on DIY installs.

yes but you need to have the scsi option for it, which costs $300 by itself, which you should get if you can anyway, then you'll need internal parts in addition to the zip drive. I'd just use an external.

honestly i don't like the internal ZIP idea cus what if your disk is jammed or some shit then you're fukked and you can't make beats - at least with an external SCSI you have the option to save on ZIP or floppy formats. Just a bit of advice....stick with an external.

My sentiments exactly Drum, we see eye to eye on a few things. Floppy is a great alternative cuz zips tend to fail.

eye to eye on a few things? hmmmmm i thought it was more than that.....maybe we don't make the same music with our machines but i thought for sure we have the same values when it comes to music production and applications.

Your'e gonna want the portability of the floppies. If you go to your boys or a studio and their 60 doesn't have scsi you don't want to take your whole MPC over there just to load your beats.

Yeah it's more than that, Drum, i just didn't want to go overboard assuming, but you're right I can't think of a point we disagree on.

The MPC60 internal SCSI mod is about the same as the MPC3000 internal SCSI mod:

I am not sure it is any worse to remove the floppy and replace it with a zip when it comes to backup methods of saving. If the internal Zip fails you can ALWAYS attach your spare $10 zip to the MPC and use that (everyone has backup drives, right?).

Are their SCSI Floppy drives that work well?

But if you blow your scsi board you're Fuked right?
