hey all i am new here, i have as quick question, is it possible to play a sound (or sequence) from the mpc1000 and run it through outboard stuff, and then BACK into the sampler? i know you can record the main output, but is this the same thing?
thanks!

Yep, run it through your outboard then back to the audio ins. Make sure you turn the monitoring off first or you'll get some nasty feedback. Unless that's what you want.

wow that is an awesome feature isnt it? the new z4's can do that aswell, so they probably share similar sampling architecture or something?
jay.

Anything that can play while in record mode can do it, I don't think there's much similarity in the sample engine of the z4, it's 96k and a completely different kind of sampler. It is an awesome feature though, probably more useful on the MPC than on the z4.
