I am new to Sampling and I have a MPC 2000. I have read the manual, and the problem that I am having is this:

I am trying to sample a break in a song. There are some parts of the break I want to take out and add my own sound to ( i believe it is called filtering). Is there a way I can do that?

I also want to chop up parts of the sample (example: like a symbol or something) as well so I use or save to disk. I do not have the 8 output expander. I know you can use a sample and add your stuff on top of the sample.

any help will do

Thanks

if you go plug the cord from the source your sampling from into the MPC RECORD IN and go into SAMPLE mode you can start sampling from that screen.

if you want to chop anything, it will be done in TRIM mode. Its called Zone Edit or ZnEdit for short
