well, i know that but its 2 weeks that i dont do anything else as looping some multisampled flutes, cellos, basses, trumpets, violins and the like ... and i looped for sure a few 100 if not a 1000 in the past 2 weeks ... lol ... and your absolutely correct on what the abbendum manual (its 1.33e) says ...
basically i think that looping on the 4k is great and 90% of my samples loop fine even without using the 3 digit field ... but some just dont loop smooth this way - so i tried to improve those harsh loops using the 3 digit fineloop field .... however after all those loops i did i m quite convinced that the added 3 digit aint doin anythin ... try it - loop a flute and set a very narrow loop at the end of the sample .... first set the loop start point in the big (9 digit) field correctly and there if ya move 1 step up or down ya clearly hear that the loop changes acoustically quite drastically on every step (also if ya enlarge the graph ya see clearly that the wave is moving) .... however if ya try to improve the loop with the 3 digit field and with the loop window enlarged at maximum ... well i dont hear and see any difference ....
so the clear and precxise question is - are the changes that minimal or is it buggy? ... i think it doesnt do anything and thus is buggy coz basically if the 3 digit number says 000 it should be the same as if ya havent moved the 9 digit number - whilst if ya have the 3 digit number at 999 it should almost be at the current loopst field (same position) plus 1 ... and it doesnt result to me to be like this ... anyone can check this out please and prove me wrong?
