Man oh man... I thought I would treat myself to a nice bright screen. Ordered from Telesis. I put it in and and I have a nice bright screen with no Characters. Turn Contrast all the up and still nothing.

Help, please.

Did you hook up the ribbon cable to the display and circuit board?

Yeh, it was all good for a moment, and then it went bad.

try unpluggng the inverter board, that will turn off the baklight and you should see if the characters are there without the light.

You got a 60 I or II?

I have emailed them, and I plan to call today as well...

I will try to unplug the invertor board when I get home. I do not think it is the invertor though as I can still see some lines every once in a while if I kid of press on the edge of the screen (that is probably bad to do huh).

I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE JUST SPENT THE EXTRA $25 and SENT THE damn thing to THEM.

I am so depressed.

Thanx for the responses.

I think my mistake is that I dis-assembled the display. I know, you are not supposed to... I could not gte the backlight out though, until I did so...

Does anybody know of any way to re-assemble the display correctly? Telesis has basically told me "Tough Luck, should have taken it to a service center."

This sucks, I hate myself for my DIY spirit.

It is a MKI with the arm rest.

I am getting my nerves back. I'm gonna spend some time tonight trying to re-align the display. I have magnefying glass handy, and some time to kill.

If woody had gone to the police, this would never have happened!!!

oh damn microsurgery. I know those displays are discontinued but what? We need alternative parts for real.
