the option board should come with instructions. If you can put together a computer, this is pretty easy - the only drag is trying to get the cover back on when your done - just be patient and careful - don't do it just before bed like i did...
you need a scsi cd rom connected - or you can put it in a pc and put the files onto zip and then onto mpc - assuming you have a scsi zip connected to it

Got any friends who can do computers? Ask them. Not much can go wrong so long as you dont force stuff. Make a diagram of where you got the screws out from and make sure you remeber what order you got them out in - they're all different but some fit easily and others don't - it's bad if you get them in the wrong order coz they won't fit and you have to start again! I'm not even gonna attempt to guide you on this one, it took all my concentration when it was in front of me - seriously tho, find a geek who puts together computers!

Since your MPC is new, its under warranty which means that you can go to any akai certified tech and the HAVE TO INSTALL IT FOR FREE....
Remember-If you open your mpc, it voids the warranty....

You're really gonna need one to do any decent work on the MPC. How are you loading samples onto the MPC?
