I dis-assembled my display, I am dumb, please help if U can

I tried to change my backlight. I think my mistake is that I dis-assembled the display. I know, you are not supposed to... I could not get the backlight out though, until I did so...

Does anybody know of any way to re-assemble the display correctly? Telesis has basically told me "Tough Luck, should have taken it to a service center."

This sucks, I hate myself for my DIY spirit.

I talked to VST... those guys are very helpful. I guess I need to re-align the contacts... They use a microscpe to do it there, and only one of the techs has the patience! IHe suggest I keep trying myself, and I might get lucky... otherwise I need to send it to them. Anybody else done something so stupid as this?

Which MPC do you have ? 60 60II or 3000 ?

Sorry to hear that man, maybe getting them to realign it will be cheaper than buying a new one, as far as I know the 60 MK I lcd is not available anymore, they retrofit a 3000 screen which is smaller.

Yo, can you take a pic of what that looks like? Then I can tell how messed up it is.

Yeah, VST are the shyt, they will help you out, and top notch repairs.

I know... like I stated, I am dumb. It was late (2AM). I should have started the project at a decent hour.

I will take some photos and try to post them asap. In the meantime. You all might be gearing up for a parting out of a GREAT MPC 60

that was really dumb man, neve rdo electronics late, or tired, and the FAQ has all sorts of instructions on how to do it.

Sending it to VST tomorrow. They think thry can fix.
