how to remove sounds from a sample

how do i remove certain sounds from a sample. Like if i just want to use a bassline from an aerosmith song and i want remove the guitar and drums from the sample how would i do that.

in theory u cannot do this. but u can in practice remove certain frequencies to achieve this desired effect. it does not totally remove the other sounds but can make the sounds u want more prominant.

look into the LOW PASS, BAND PASS and HIGH PASS FILTERS found in your PROGRAM MODE.

Experiment a bit, like for gett just a the bassline from a sample, use LOW PASS and turn it to like 11 and Resonance to about 100 it get a nice rumble depending on how much bass u want, as i said experiment on this. READ THE MANUAL for the LOW PASS filters etc.
