Hello out there... I kind of have a basic question, maybe I should ask this in a newbie section, but oh well... with the note repeat function for the mpc 1000, I want to be able to play the pads "repeated" without having to simultaneously press the "note repeat" button (so i can free up my hands)... is there any way you can program it so the note repeat function is always on, thus never having to press it? Also, if it doesn't do this, should I upgrade to a better mpc?
thanks,
Jon

no way to program it to do that. i don't know if you should different, not better, mpc. is that function really worth another $5-600 or whatever the difference is? no one can answer that ? for you, it depends on what you're trying to do.

As weird as it sounds... that function actually would be worth the extra money, i want to be able to use it live and do other things at the same time! I was confused by your response, so you think I should go with a different unit than the mpc altogether if i'm looking for that function?
thanks,
Jon

I don't have an issue with this and i use note repeat alot. I don't put anything on the button and i still have both hands free to manipulate the pads. what i do is i use my right pinky leaving me with 9 fingers to do my bidding on the pads.

There's footpedal inputs...

...that unfortunately do not trigger the note-repeat function. One of the first things i tried :(

Also, small handguns or grenades work well as a weight for the n.r. button.. :o
