If i have the d12 as my recorder ,should i run my MPC to A mixer then to the d12????????????

I would recommend running it straight to the d12. Skip the mixer. Your d12 should already have an internal one

You might wanna get MFC42, I'm getting soon but before I spent money you should buy it and see if it is worth it and report back.

to be honest you dont need half of that sh!t. you sound a little early to be wantin all that sh!t. thats a question you shouldnt have to ask. now ask yourself....do you relly need all that sh!t? keyboards and computers dont make good music. sure it helps but you have to learn. if you dont kno the basics than its a waste.

Cubase is not a good thing for recording my current music? as i learn quality is a good thing to have

You do speak knowledge, I respect that. I guess I feel that the mpc alone is not giving that industry thump, before i purchased that ,I use to make beats w/ acid 2.0 and 3.0 and that cut and paste made it very, very easy!
But it seems like cubase would do the same thing with my music --I could record and then cut and paste my projects. and really get meticulous with my stuff on screen. so I guess I'm just trying to upgrade my QUALITY sir.
The 828 and a computer w/cubase was my plan ,but after what you've mentioned I guess I have to rethink things. I'm learning
knowledge + undestanding = WISDOM

You already have a D12 to record on, don't get cubase just yet, master your mpc and d12 first and foremost. Do not buy a mutec 8 out board, they are known to have problems and aren't made by akai or endorsed by them either. I got a 8 out card for my mpc from platinumrecords.com. a dj shop, for 220. You need to decide what type of beats to make, what sound you want to go for before you waste money on a fantom and all that stuff. Help can be found here on the forums if you need it.

yeah...practice and get well acquainted with ya toys before buying stuff you "think" you need. best to buy gear out of necessity. Then...when the cash flow is right...buy stuff you wanna try and have at least thought through how you can benefit from it. everyone's setup is different. there's pieces i got just because you need that junk (i.e. MPC)! there are other pieces that i get cuz they would help me freak my junk differently and maybe not many others have it or would think of tryin' it. but more importantly....i buy out of necessity. i copped pro tools not only for recording but because after i sequence in the MPC....i like to freak the beat even more at parts by sequencing real aucio and layered midi in pro tools!!!!!

the concept of equipment you "should" have is really relativistic.

i copped my memory off ebay too for like 10 bucks! put that junk in. easy!!!
