I use them with my PDX 2k, although some people say Concorde systems ain´t good to your records with a straight turntable arm, but i have not yet found out if that´s true (have the combination since 2001)- your records will also get less and less good sound with others systems when you hear or scratch them a lot, i think.

but 130 ($ ?) is lots of cash, mine were 120 deutschmark that time i think, now they are sold for about 70 euros, new needle 25€.

Ortofons have always been expensive cartridges . My first carts, back when I started skratching, were the OM Scratch's . Been using the 447's for years now though.
I was going to get a new styli soon cause I need it, but might try something else altogether instead .

Concordes are notorious for eating up records cause you have to put on so much weight, and the contacts go bad rather quickly. Scratching will wear out almost every record, but 447/g's have the lowest wear Ive seen. 44g's stick damn well with just 1-2 grams weight.

was thinking of changing after the next needle is used off...because that´s damn right, i have 3,5 weight...

I use nearly 6 grams on my M44-7 to make it track properly during my fastest juggles.

Believe it or not, m44s work better with less weight.

That's alot of weight hfinal . You don't need to use that much . 3.5 to 4.5 (max) is what I (and most people) find to be best . Maybe you just up the weight when you're juggling ... Hopefully ... using that much weight for everything would be vinyl slaughter .

I wouldn't recommend the M44-7's for sampling mang... It's true thay are the best needles out there for scratching and parties but they color the sound WAY too much for decent sampling...

You need a needle with a perfect flat curve for that, like the Shure M97xE.

M447's have way too much bass and pumped up high in them for recording.

Anyway as you already got them, once they're worn out (if you just use them for sampling that'll prolly be in 2030 lol) swap them for something neutral.

I think I'll try and get one of those m97xe's . I did a bit of looking around on the net and they seem to have great sound and value for money .But one thing that'll be hard is remembering not to back que on them . How bad would that be if accidently done every now and then ?
I'm keepin the m447 though . Just so I can plug it in when I feel like getting my skratch on .

44gs sound a bit better than the 7s and require very little weight. They stick just as well and cause very little record wear. Better mids, but still has the annoying 'lisp' on the highs tho. I mustve gone thru at least 10 of these styli.
