How do i midi up the xr to the mpc and es6, i know how to split the channels between the two(es/xr) but i want the xl to control both.

the xl is not the king of midi controlling... try to change your routine, for exemple like trying to control everything with the fantom instead of th xl, or I don't know...

okay i've read the manual on how to split midi so i can use my es6's sounds and the xr's sounds together. Now to clear my self up a little bit more this is what i'm looking to do.

1.) Have my XL as the master to control the es6 and xr.
a. I have my es and xl midied up in the simple slave/master configuration>XL OUT to>ES IN.
b. In order to use the es as a controller i have to use midi thru right? SO I have the MIDI OUT of thr xr going into the MIDI THRU of the es is this right? And I would use the slave master configuration with thr xl and xr to right? so it would be XL OUT to XR IN.

I'm going to keep reading the manual, but if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks penfold and turnitup.

No on the xr set local midi to off (check manual on how to do that) and connect the midi out of the xr to a midi in of the MPC. playing keys on the xr will now trigger sounds on the xr or es if track type is set to either midi a or b or the MPC if the track type is set to drum.

The fantom XR can't control anything. It's a sound module.

mate why cant u do this..

MIDI A OUT ->>>> IN FANTOM
MIDI B OUT ->>>> IN ES6

PROTOOLS OUT ->>>>> IN 1 MPC.
ES6 KEYBOARD CONTROLLER OUT->>>> IN 2 MPC.

Thats it everthing works fine! whats so hard?
