Triggering other Pads (Important features) !!!!!!!!!

I have thought about moving over to the 4000 but there is one important fearture that i cannot live without which is triggering other samples from One pad.

On the early machines 2000/3000/2000xl you could trigger 1 or 2 pads from 1 pad and also edit the samples individually that your triggering. Reason for this say you wanna make a banging kik....what i do is this.

Pad 1 front of the Kik with a tight envelope.
Pad 2 808 Low end with the envelope sloped forward so kik's dont phase
Pad 3 Ruff grim Kik to add colour with enveloped sloped also to stop phase issues.

I find my Kiks are 100 perfect running this way.

The issue is the 2000xland 3000 can trigger these samples and allow you to edit individual like i mentioned ,It seems the 4000 allows you to assign 4 samples per pad which is great ( BUT DO YOU HAVE FULL CONTROL OF INDIVIDUAL ENVELOPES ON THESE SAMPLES)



Does this make sence!!!!

It you apply this method on Snares and claps it's amazing but you need the envelope control per sample.

Are you the same macman asking the same question twice? Cmon

Several easy ways to do what you want to do...assign several different samples to play on the same midi channel and program would probably be the easiest route

you can have up to 4 on a pad...maybe more dunno

go to the pad in program screen zones... put the samples you want in, adjust the velocities at which you want them to work..i.e. the if you have a regular kick drum and then a 808 sub..maybe you only want the sub on the hard beats ....so make the 808 velocity 127 127 and the kick drum 0 127 now when you tap the pad the kick will sound all the time...but the 808 and kick together will only sound when you hit 127...

likewise you can have them sound completely independent of each other by having say kick from 0 100 and 808 101 127

etc etc etc etc

i'm sure there's other ways as well..

oh, and yes you can adjust the envelopes and assign different levels of 'effect' caused by that envelope to each zone
