I had the MPC 2000 and I NEVER USED TIME STRETCH! LOOPING IS WACK! Chop up your samples and u won't need to flucking stretch time! If you have gaps between your samples, play live through them! Music is NOT all SAMPLES!!!!!!! The MPC 1000 is superior to the 2000 and the 2000XL.

CASE CLOSED.

i'm woking on my chop technique but i also don't see anything wrong with looping. maybe the way you are looping is wack. no doubt, i can't wait to get my chop game down but even then i will still use loops for that dope low end.

I use timestretch all the time for my samples. This way the musical key stays the same and I can play my guitar along with the sample. Sometimes a sample sounds too fast or too slow for my personal taste, so I change it.
Just because you do not know when to use timestrech doesn't mean the MPC1000 is greater. Each to his/her own.

Happy is me with my mpc
2000xl!

that is actually a good reason to use time stretch. I am just getting upset at all these toys, who think the mpc1000 is a piece of crap, because it can't time stretch

I used it on my 2kxl for that a while back and have never used it again.

Yeah, to each his/her own..

@kre8tive - Voicing your opinion is cool but PUSHING your opinions off as LAW is wackness to the greatest degree.

And that is the manifestation of the limitations of their skillz LT. Their imaginations are not in full bloom and might not ever be. Preach on bro.

Are you kidding? Time stretch is a great tool.

I chop majority of my samples, but only after time stretching them to the tempo of my beat. It makes a much smoother transition between samples.

Unless you want a real choppy sound, then chop it with out timestretching.
