may i ask somethin to 1k, 2xl, 60, 3k users on the matter? ... on the 4k the max duration to insert is 99.999 - which in 4k terms is about 26 bars ... i always felt thaz a bit short ...
now - i m interested whaz the limit ya can insert into your mpc?

99 i believe but with the 2kxl the inserts are done with bars, nothing less...

thanx dub. wow - 99 bars is way better as 26 bars. in 4k ya dont insert bars for duration (unless i understood u wrong ) but ya can insert any number from 1 to 99.999. so if ya wanna for example insert a stratight 4 bar midievent ya go to the duration field in step edit and type in .... 15.360. if ya wanna insert a 32 bars midievent your kinda fukked. akai should have made it 6 digit (up to 999.999) for the 4k imo ... 26 bars is little ...
