I really hate asking a question like this - and believe me... I've searched for the answer, I just need a real answer.
I'm using a Stanton STR8-80 turntable that has S/PDIF digital out. I'm looking into buying an MPC1000 this week and I need to know if I can just hook my Stanton straight into the MPC and sample my records - and then from there either sample on the MPC or move the file into software by way of USB.
I'm trying to avoid buying any pro-tools/m-audio interfaces because I don't like their hardware and this seems like the cheaper alternative.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
