yesterday i used mine for like 5 hours straight in a un arconditioned 90 degree room and it wasnt hot at all

I guess you have never owned an ASR-10? Certain ones get hot enough to cook eggs on the front panel.
One of the other benefits to hardware, besides being able to cook your breakfast on them, is that they are pretty tolerant to heat (and designed as such). +100F stagelights and the such and the gear keeps going. Put a PC on a 120F stage for a few hours and you are likely to get problems.
