Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

I was told that I already had the scsi board by the cat I got my MPC 60 from, but then I heard that they all come with a scsi port that does not work until you get the Marion Systems SCSI card. Why would AKAI/Roger Linn put a nonfunctional SCSI port on the back. Please help me out.

It's not a scsi port, it's an RS-2** something. It is a computer interface I guess that was never implemented.

The port is the same as scsi.

To see if you have scsi, go to disk and 8, if you have 4 options, you have scsi, if 2, nope.

but if I don't have OS 3.10 yet I won't be able to tell right?

if you open it up and look at the scsi board it should say marion on it,
