is not coming anytime soon, so get the latest version of SoundForge. As long as I have SoundForge, I don't care about the update. It does everything the update does and more! :D

The best part is chopping samples...
It's way faster than chopping samples in the 1K... 8)

[I know most of you are taking advantage of this SoundForge, but I posted this for the one's who aren't]

Until the update comes, I'm set! 8)

I dont look at the lack of those ther features as a henderance but as a means to develope a technique. i remember my first rack mount sampler and boy talk about pushing creativety to the limits. those luxuries are great for what they enable you to do, however you never know what you can acheive by sqeeeeezin out a lil brain juice in rout to creating a quality beat.

On the Mac side, what would be a good audio editor with the timestretch and chop functions built in?

I have used pro tools, recycle and peak to try to quickly sample and edit, but those seem too involved for just editing and cutting up samples. That and .wav files transferred from pc/mac always have a glitch at the end when loaded on the mpc which means further editing in the MPC (and more time).

I am using the MPC directly to edit my samples right now, but a quick computer alternative would be great.

Thanks

First of all.

1. fuk a update
2. SF8 who wants it? (Download the Trial then Holla @ Me)
3. I can CHOP mad fast in the MPC too, in fact i prefer it that way I can see da sounds better, some how it just ffeel right in the mpc than using SF8. or any funky zoning kak.

1) SF kills AUDACITY.

2) I downloaded the full version of SF 7.0 off of LimeWire (f*** the trial).

I can chop fast in the 1K as well...BUT

...I can chop even faster on SF.

4) Even when the update comes, I'll get it, but I'll still use SF.

Good. though fuk SF7, SF8 kills em all, why?

1. Batch Processing.
2. Use of VST effects
3. allows you to program your own scripts (more 4 the computer savvy)
