multi card reader atapi hook up

i got a multi card reader the iisdmc multi card drive.which is the correct ice flat ribbon cable that goes to the mpc 2000xl.

Same ribbon cable on a pc IDE hard drive. EXACTLY the same.

Is your card reader Atapi, if so, yeah, same ribbon.

yeah its the atapi http://www.psism.com/iisdmc.htm thats the one it powers up but i don,t know what ribbon cable connects it. i have a ribbon cable with the filled in hole and that one hooks up to the card reader and the other side hooks into the mpc does not. which one is it , i think dude is basically asking the same question in the next post. ?? i just gotta know which exact ribbon cable and where to get it. good lookin

wow this is like a miracle for my xl. i got it in there it saves so fast. i paid $69.88 for the drive and cable. it makes my my mpc 2005 status. no os load or anything.i got a compact flash 256mb for 30 bucks.

good work.. i just ordered one from the site you posted above. time to say goodbye to zip.

See, it wasn't as hard as you thought it to be, it's just that you gotta get up off your butt and do it. Which is where alot of people get caught up at.
Ask a million and one questions and don't DO IT. haha. Good looking out (for yourself no doubt).

can you tell me if i gotta modify any parts of plug and is this trough scsi. i seen on in this forum where he hooked it up to his internal scsi and cut a wire to make the proper power conections im kinda new to this never changed my drive i always kept the original please help
