try checking the future producers forum for a list of free software. they have a list and what it does. its under the hardware part. www.futureproducers.com

Winamp.com used to have some plugins for that for the older versions of the prog. If you have soundforge and a good soundcard you can usually record the stream directly thru that.

For Mac there is Audiohijack, also the freeware Soundflower from cycling 74 software. It will let you pass the output of your streaming program into the input of your audio recorder.
