sup yall, im the cat who started that rick rock thread. anyway, the question is: how was he running all that stuff at once? i have a triton, just ordered a proteus 2000, and my mpc is in the shop. i plan on getting alot of racks, so i guess question 2 is should i buy a midi patchbay to play all the racks and triton at once or is it just standard linking of all the MIDI thru connections to eachother. thanks yall. and yes i searched!!

you can also just chain the modules to each other on my 2000xl I have a Triton connected as normal then I have my E-mu connected to the Triton by just using the Thru on the Triton connected to the In on the E-mu everything works perfect that way, I know you can chain a whole gang of modules if you want

yeah use the midi thru's on your modules...

my setup up

mpc midi 1->a station->midi thru-> alpha juno
mpc midi 2-> lxp-1->midi thru->vf-1

i used to have an emu vintage keys and used channels 18-32 to control channels 2-16 on it respectively and then chained my other stuff though the midi thru of that...dont buy a patch bay you can chain it all up for free
