Have any of you tried to use Multipitch Keys on the SP1200?

The manual states you can control a single sample and have it pitched between keys on an external controller. I'm able to do this on the SP itself, but when I try it with my motif, I hear all my samples, but the one I selected is not multipitched. Has anyone used this feature? I read somewhere else that "it just doesn't work" but I refuse to believe that. Can anyone confirm?

Doesn't the manual give you a keyrange where multipitch is? It's in another octave or something.

Yes the manual says its in another octave actually right after the last note which plays a sample. I tried to play it there, but nothing plays. I hardly ever ask questions on these forms because I read a lot. And if I'm come to you guys its because I've exahausted all my known resources. Ntalec..Instead of "your just doing it wrong" can you shead some light on what your doing?

D*mn, I just don't get it is it me or are these things really that hard to use

once you have turned on the MIDI recieve channel/ POLY mode/ Pitch Keys=YES

go to your keyboard find the key that contains the sample you want to multi, hold that down move up to just past where the last sample pad would have been on the keyboard and you have your multi's.
Gotta keep holding the key down that you want to multi.
This is kool because you can switch sounds without have to change any settings on the SP.
Was that a good enough instead????

Ah. Thank you.. I was pressing the "play button" on the SP not the key on the keyboard. And yes that was good enough
