WHAT UP DOC?

Just a silent observer who never really likes to comment on the works of others; the both seem somewhat similar.
Now don't twist it I am not saying the same I mean in the same realm.
Drumz turntable work throws you off that fact to a major degree.
Hey drum can you strip the cutz from the track and let then listen?
Maybe if peopel heard it that way they would see that you guyz are standing on familar territory.
I can tell that the decks is your thing so I'm not saying you shouldn't flip them in your sh*t I'm just talking from a point of reference type thing.
Just when I listen to the 2 tracks I hear that you guyz were influenced by some of the same people.

^ Not true. Some 60/3000 users may prefer the mid-90s east coast boom bap but not all of us. U can't lump us in2 a musical category based on the MPC we use.

I liked Doc's latest submission much better than his other stuff, but IMO Drumatic's beat takes it. I heard much more care, If either of these came on the radio or in a club Drumatic's would get me hyped, While I would enjoy Doc's beat for sure it wouldn't get my blood pumpin as much. Maybe it is the cuts and creative use of vocal samples, delays, etc. Also Drumatic varied his drum pattern more throughout the beat and kept it interesting, Doc's pattern had less variation, and a little less imagination, but was still pretty tight.

It really comes down to style, Whoever you think won both are quality beats, and like someone else said it's no landslide.

No worries.....i'll post something more obscure for your earjoyment. I mentioned you using Axelrod's Holy Thursday and you got all specific with a Klemmer sample. Fine by me.....let's keep this going.

yeah i heard the first doc beat. shit is nice but damn. damn you got your ass handed to you like the surgeon was rockin a machete. i dont think that theres even a comparison. worth the wait. drumatic hurt muhfuggas wit that. yo doc you gotta rock that next shit.... best creative outcome ive seen from cats talkin shit on the internet.

Lord Finesse used that rhodes sample on the awakening. Nice though

edit: didn't realise someone else mentioned it. But yeah Drumatic's did it for me more to do with the nice sample, its a shame its been used elsewhere.... Doc's was OK too, but certainly no landslide

Yes thanks for mentioning that a 4th time......we now all know once again that Lord Finesse used that same groovey chilled out sample on the Awakening's interlude with Mc Lyte, titled "Taking It Lyte."

Sorry to reserct this thread or whatever, but im curious @ drumatic, on Redundant, how did you get those nice verbs/delay at the end of some of your cuts and samples, i been trying to incorporate that for the longest but cant get it right.
