Dog, the flute sample is Grover Washington's "Paradise" off the record titled Paradise. Elektra 6E-182, 1979. If you want me to blowup your spot on your "Retaliation to DOCMARTIN" I will!!

Lo Pass, you are right there. Lib flipped the loop for M.H.B. off kool and the gangs open sesame record. and you know everyone who makes beats has heard that record, they just slept on that part. still the majority of his samplework is relatively unknown compared to most of the shit ive been hearing lately. but i see what your saying, come to think of it i think its a little bit of both..finding that loop on a record that everyone else seemed to miss, mixed with a little bit of digging for shit that the average head isnt up on, equals a good digger

I won't even retort on this bullsh!t ass accusation....

nah , that rant wasnt directed at you homie. i said those who post in the your music section and i havent really heard or seen you post anything. and even if i did theres a few exceptions

Last time I checked Grover Jr played varying styles of Sax ---- but I guess I had him in the wrong section the entire time.....I'll move him to the Flutes....thanks!

Doc you bullshitting me man or you just trying to make me look stupid on this forum?

I don't want no beef man.....I'm just a true school hiphop cat.....we're both from Philly....you do your thing and I'll do mine.....i'm just an avid fan of the classic sound and nothing can change that.....we can continue this battle though....i'm enjoying it. I'll get something up tomorrow evening.....I got mad work to do for this freelance gig plus i work a 8-5.....I'll catch you on a later note.

Naw I'm good fam, this isn't payin ANY of my bills, Like YOUR MAN says "I'm flippin' up my scripts" because I gotta make this money man... We may bump into each other one day, when we do just know I respect what U do, BUT make sure you don't get trapped in ONE style thou, I think you could be an even better producer if you open your sound range just alittle  ...

peace, Doc

Believe me i've got mad versatility with the beats....I just to stress my drum patterns more than my samples and I gotta have that ill swing on nearly everything I do....But as you said, to each his own and we'll keep it at that.....i'm always down for beat battling as it's always for building skills and gaining or losing props (depends on the challenge).....and maybe one day we'll be making appearances on Pay-Per-View.

SOMETHING:

why not get into it.....i'll be down to battle.....let's do a royal rumble type of joint.....say like 5 competitors, 2 rounds ---- pick 2 beats and we'll post 1 beat for 2 evenings worth of votes (make sure everyone gets in) .....those who are awarded the most votes go into a top 3 and the take down beat for a heated final battle round....elimination....would be posted and acquire votes for 2 days....winner announced on FRIDAY evening. Whattya say? Of course the more entries we get the better.....wanna start a thread? We need a set deadline.....links/ notifications gotta be posted up before 12 midnight Tuesday....(cus July 4th major bbq day) which gives plenty of time....and then
we'll allow a seperate thread for votes. Only 1 vote per round counts. What if say Elmacaco be the mediator....he can tally up votes and announce the next heat? He's not a hiphop producer so he'd be more than fair. Winner gets mad braggin rights and mad props! If we had cats that lived closer we can start a crazy ill producer gathering.....I live in Philly....any Ideas where we could all meet up?

You down?>
