help with interface connections

I have the m-audio 410. Now my set up is the 2kxl, Mo6classic, BX5 and computer which is runnin sonar 2. I'm new to this interface thing so i thought i would use an old version to to get some practice. So i make all the connections which i assumed the only thing that needs to be connected to the interface is the MP midi out to the 410 in and vice verse along with the MP stereo outs. Oh and the monitors. I have my MO midi going to the MP. Now before i got the interface i had a mixer which i still have but figured i wouldnt need it since i will be using a software. Long story short. I can hear sound coming out of speakers when the 410 is off but when i power it on i cant hear a damn thing. Then when i open sonar and press the pads i'm not getting no levels or sound. Are my connections wrong? If anybody else has the 410 or can tell me what i need to do it would be appreciated. Sorry if this is in the wrong index. I spent 8 hrs tryna get that ish working.

First of all can you get any sound when u play a CD, WAV file anything on ya PC?

i dont own a 410 but simple troubleshooting should help solve the problem.
it might suttin silly like the volume on the taskbar is set low. stuff like that.
anyway when its off thats is a passive connection, dont worry about that..

just plug it all out and start again, set by step with the handbook and you will find the fault if u spent 8 hrs you could have spent a half hour just starting again.
