I left what's on the internal memory alone, I never use it and I have no need to use it so why bother getting rid of it?

When saving and loading at the top of the screen you have the option for loading/saving from Internal or the card, just use the card.

no i get that lol all im saying is my internal has space on it i cant use thus robbing me of just a lil more usable space for loading kits and such so basicly i re wrote over it by saving entire memeory over it but with nothing into it thus re sizing the wasted space to 32k that i can live with.

Here you go. follow this link and look for my name. i wrote on how to delete the entire internal memory without having to save a blank project.
when i turn my mp on, there is nothing in the memory, no default pgms, no default seqs, nothing.

yup did exactly that but i bet if you go to the load page , hit internal and scroll through youll have data still there.. i know i still do but the wierd thing is since i over wrote it theres nothing there to load , just the sample names and program names

that's because you didn't turn autoload off and you are loading the cf card that came with the mpc. turn autoload off. and don't use the card that came with it.

i've done what i said and there is NOTHING in internal. no samples, no programs, no seqs, no songs. i'm telling you, you are doing something wrong.

Do any of you guys use the internal memory to save your ish? I haven't tried it yet.

well theres no way it can be autoloading off the original cf card since i havnt used that cf card at all.. im using a fresh 512...i dont use autoload so i didnt even make on on this card.. in the users manual it states that the internal ram has the same kits and shite on it as the cf card does. im guessing its there for good. whatever it doesnt really matter anymore since its only 32 k now. im just stating the facts. and yes i did follow your example to a T and it changed nothing. but thanks though.. now lets just let this thread die

here ill clarify what i mean. im not worried about autoloading of files from the cf or internal at all . i havnt had a prob with ish on that front at all. when i start my mpc up and its on the main page its totally empty.. that was never the issue. the issue was when you go to the load page. switch to internalmemory, and blammo theres data in there. EVEN after i tried your method.. i really could care less now since im ordering a pny ram modual to pop in there this week .
