haha. Aight toughguy. I see i hit a nerve. See to me there is a difference from "grime" and just noise. Your beat was what i classify as noise. You know what has really started buggin me? Hip Hop beats in McDonalds comercials. i dont know what the point is anymore. its been all over for a while, fruity pebbles commercials in the 80's had barney rhymin like Run DMC. But something about just a raw beat in a Mcd's commercial pushin that poison really drove the point home that it just isn;t cutting edge anymore, even boom bap, underground stuff. Maybe the real edgy cats like madlib and Doom, but they are straying a lot from what typical hip hp is thought to be. Soon they'll be in some other genre. Tip Tap or something.Remember when jazz went bad in the 80s? It just stopped being relevant. Is there any big youth movement in music anywhere? If its riot grrls I'm gonna puke.

I was talking to some guy in a music store about this same issue a few days ago. It doesn't seem like there is any real youth or music movement anymore. I damn near think blatant commercialism is the youth movemement of today.

this is real tru. Most modern or contempory jazz is so slack it aint funny. Hip hop is a gimmick anymore. Most of the shit i make usally isnt really even hip hop, its more funk and jazz orientated. Like i dont even want emcees to **** with my tracks. Im looking for singers now to work with.

I think thats the problem with the new generation (not saying you is a rookie or sumting), i got the same issue's often. Some Beats that i make i find Hot, but the quality is diffrent from what you hear on the radio. Music is what it is, you dont have to "master/fine tune" it to become more commercial quality soundin.

Listen to beats from: Dan the Automator, Handsome boymodeling school or that Deltron joint... That flavour's mad gritty. I love it.

But Lo Pass, is you real about mastering with BBE? and do you use it allot?
