Back to basics:
..Some other shortcuts (cats should know but here goes) -
Substitue 'Apple' for Control if you are runnin on Macs...
Ctrl.+E = separates audio into separate sections(Great alternative to the method in which the thread topic is based..mouse in one hand 'Ctrl.E' in the other and you can chop drum breaks or samples 10+ times faster than an MPC.
Ctrl.+C, D = Copy of course for 'C' and Duplicate for 'D' (good for grid looping)
Ctrl.+S = Save session (be religious with this one of course)
Ctrl.+Z = Undo last step(Cool for vocal recording)
Ctrl.+Space = Record(Yall knew this)
Ctrl.+Bracket/Parentheses = Zoom In/Out(Some know this some don't)
Ctrl.+Option+Bracket/Parentheses = Magnify/reduce waveform(" ")

even shorter short cuts... no need for Control+

Seperate- B
Copy- C
Paste- V
Cut- X
Undo- Z

F12-Record
Escape- undo and discard last take

1,2,3,4,5- zoom1,2,3,etc.

ten key pad(number keys on the right side of the keyboard)

0-play/stop
1-rewind
2-fast forward
3-record
4-loop playback
5-loop record
6-quick punch
7-metronome
8-countoff
9-merge/replace
-(minus)-nudge back
+-nudge forward

F1- shuffle mode
F2- slip mode
F3- spot mode
F4- grid mode

the digi website sells a short cut sticker set that makes all of this real easy, think I paid about 20 bucks. If you have a wireless keyboard it makes a real nice wireless transport controller
