yes a very immature and defensive reaction would be to give a completely polarized answer...often at the school where i work you hear such bullshit- the kids have not yet learned how to debate in an adult fashion so when criticised they hit back with such bullshit as 'OH! you are always right and im always wrong' or other such responses which serve to draw attention away from themselves and turn themselves into a bit of a martry- dont you have your own kids? if so do you not recognise such immature (yet predictable) behaviour in yourself- are you really unable to just say:

'perhaps i should have never of poked my nose into a convo between two peeps without knowing the context'

Yeah man, greg callin me a chino was funny to me cuz I'm Latino, and chino in spanish means chinese, so it was a funny way to say she don;t date your kind, with the faux ignant lingo. Unless in the UK chino means latino, then I missinterpreted it. But it's still cool, Dub is an alright guy.
