card reader

i just got a 2000xl with 32mb and the eb16last week, the day after i orderd an illsmdc multicard reader and a ibm microdrive and they both arrived today.

first of all this is my first mpc and i really dont know anything about it exept for what ive been reading here . so its all thnx to you guys that it all went well. i opend it up. cut the power cable, installed it and i works great

only problem is: my os is 1.11 and the card is divided in 10 partitions, one 520, one 328 and so on .is it the card messin up or does the os need to be updated?

well since you already have the card reader installed I would recommend you to upgrade to v1.20 or at least 1.17. With version 1.20 you can access your 1G card without need to partition it. With version 1.17 you still need to make 2 partitions of 512Mb each.
