Its actually a quote that I dont really understand its relevance - I understand how it is used but not 'why'.. Usually these sayings have a very logically simple back ground, but, not this one.. I understand what it means, just not where it came form.. I think its biblical..

From this statement alone I can see that either will be wasted on you. I think you'd really be better served with a motif, save up, I think it will get you further where you want to go. This would probably take ou a year or two to realize, that in the same amount of space you would have more power and more immediate sounds at your disposal, whereas after spending the 400 or so on the analog synth, you realize it'll only be good for one part at a time and you need to get something in addition for it to really hook you up propperly. In the same space you could have had everything with something like the motif.
Analog is great, but I don;t think it will keep you happy very long.
