I would worrying about creating music first, master Reason by itself, master the 2000XL the next month, then see where you want to go...
But understand this.
1. You dont want to sequence on a non-TDM Pro Tools setup, your music will come out like slop.
2. To me Reason = MPC, but not as fun. Both are sequencers/samplers.
3. You could sequence Reason with the MPC but not vice versa, and then run the Reason signals to Pro Tools through Rewire and the MPC audio through the Digi 001 to their own tracks. To me this is more trouble than its worth.
4. Pro Tools LE should be used like a multi track for recording and adding bells and whitsles/vocals to the tracks you create on the MPC and or Reason.
good luck. but my main advice would be to keep it simple as possible.

If you're using PT 6.1 you can insert Reason on a free aux track and bus it to an audio track and record your sequence directly into PT. This is the best way to save cpu power instead of doing full songs in Reason and keeping Reason open in PT. As far a sequencing in PT I disagree with Doveski, while PT is never going to win awards for it's midi capabilities, it is capable of sequencing pretty smoothly in my experience. However seeing as how you have the MPC I wouldn't bother with the PT sequencer.
Here is, in my opinion, a simplified method for using this gear together. Do all midi sequencing and programing on the MPC. Sync the MPC to PT through MTC or midi clock and record all the tracks into PT. Insert Reason on an aux track and sequence one device at a time. When you're done sequencing one part bus it to an audio track and record it into PT. Repeat this step until you have all the tracks you need in PT. Mix and master away. While there are other and probably more efficient ways of doing this, I think this is the best bet for keeping it simple. Good luck!

Yeah. It's kinda redundant to have a MPC and Reason, but that's not to stop you from using Reason as a synth. Just to add to CoooCooo's comments. If you use PTLE for OS9, check out www.refuse.com. It allows you to use Reason and Pro Tools together.
