Creating your own prgm files.

Are the sequence and program files just text? See I made the mistake of deleting all those files cause I cleared my whole card. Now what I wanna do is make my own programs but I was wondering if there was an easy way to just create the files on the PC and transferisng over rather then just creating the files manualy on the mpc.

Also, isnt there an autoload folder that loads all programs/samples when you turn on your mpc.. I thought I read about that.
