Now when i first starting making sample beats all i had was a standard pc with fruityloops on.
i was making beats in fruity and i got gud at it, i made a lot of bangers, but after a wile i wanted to "up" my game. Then i started thinking about getting an mpc1k.
Any way i fanally brought one thinking its the next step, but i discovered it was like a hardware version of fruityloops, but fruity was obviously more advanced.
I got da mpc for a number of reasons
1. I could get away from da computer screen,
2. Avoid having so much blisters after using da mouse all day an night,
3. more accurate music and use of less equiptment

and many more

ive had an mpc1k for 6 months now and ive fallen in love with it,
the feel, the look, and most of all the size and capabilitiyalong with that "mpc1k" sound.

but after 6 months assessing my beats, plus other people telling me.
I found out that, what i had made on the mpc1k over the past 6 months was no were not as hot as what i was making on fruityloops,
i tryed to ignore it cos i simply love ma mpc1k but i couldnt no longer when 3 people in 1 week critised me saying i havent made any big tunes yet on the mpc and all the best tunes i ever made was in fruityloops.

so this weekend i went back to my pc and jump on fuityloops,
having everything at my disposel unlike the mpc1k, it took a wile to get back into the nature but when i finished i had created a bangah.

so im gonna start using fruityloops again,
and the mpc will cover for fruityloops flaws and vice versa

but on the overall i think 80% its all about fruityloops
and the other 20% MPC1K

Once you get an MPC1k and learn how to use it you'll forget all about FL Studio.

Can you send a link to some of those bangers or email?

I think the main difference is with loops all the sounds are there waitin to be played with but the mpc you need to sample or transfer to the CF Card, I done this and now create better tracks with the 1000 than loops

well the joke is i know how to use ma mpc fully, but im not saying everything i made on ma mpc was wack but the persistency of bangers was more often on fruity.
ma brother whom i share a room with obviously is gonna know cos i make ma music in ma room an even he says ma potential has droped since i got da 1k.

thats because of your approach.

its not the equipment, but essentially how u use it. using the MPC might open doors for u , that u hve not seen yet, and same with FL. what u do is down to you, if u wanna make bangers then make em. there is nothing stoping u, its not the tool, its u.

Do whiever one you are more comfortable with and work like that.
You gotta give the 1k a longer test period, it's just not going to happen quickly.
Give it some time. Tranfer some of your samples on PC to the 1k and see if you can imitate what you did on pc, and soon you'll how to make it sound almost the same, and maybe even pass up the bangahs on your pc and move completely to the 1k, it's on you though, just be patient and keep it moving.
Try using the best of both, you don't HAVE to choose only one when creating beats. 8)

mmm, thats an interesting point "my approach".
ya see one of the reasons why i favour fruity is cos its kwick to just get shit together and because its a visual as well as hearing it kinda help more if ya know what i mean.
how long have yall had ya mpc's for??? at least

most of use years to weeks on a MPC....its not about the speed that u can make a beat in. or how quick. i know u dont want a fustrating work flow, but it is good to tae time and feel and hear inturn seeing what u are doing. knowing where u want it to go...(Bravo!) so like i said make them bangers man!!

I find that I get inspiration from both FL Studio (I've been using this prog since it first came out) and the MPC. Therefore...I use them both together via midi. I get all the visuals I need and get to use the pads as well.

i started on Fl but never got good at it, then i got the 1000 and messed with Fl again and i understood more of it and could use it to its full potential. i make almsot all my beats on my mpc, but i sometimes use Fl if im in the mood, and i just started messing with reason which until now was just used for a sound module. Fl is a good program but its not whats in the hardware/software its whats in the user

i know how ya mean still.
but i might actually take up dat guys advice and syc fruity and da 1k

best of both worlds

not realy tryed it before cos im tryna use less equiptment possible,
cos ****** like me got a small room sharing with ma 3 brothers so the space i got is really minor.
and the equiptment heats up ma room quick and in this type of weather its like a hoven.

but safe bloodz
