HELP! MPC2xl problem....!

yo,

I had been messing with a beat earlier today when my mpc locked up but the red overdub light stayed on it started randomly playing samples i had loaded in at different pitches and weird sequences.... so i had to turn it off which was whack.. when i turned it back on all lights on the mpc stayed on and it read "insert mpc 2000xl disk!" i dont have a disk (my internal zip drive is busted)

what is goin on?

Maybe reinstall the OS. How did you get sounds/samples into the MPC in the first place?

i never load em from zip i just sampled vinyl and computer shit.

my shits done that shit before....but I never had to reinstall the O.S

I didnt have to...my shit worked again once I switched it off and lost everything I'd worked on
