I don;t know about facts, I don;t know what a cut buddy is but it doesn't sound good.
I go to philly like twice a year, usually in the summer, usually on business, I want to see if I can reverse engineer the forat thing so I can do it myself.
I think if anyone wants to know you'll have to get it done. D had specific needs and this probably met them, but for most of yall, that $400 should go to something else like better monitors or the SCSI option if you don;t have it.

yeah about 2x louder....so loud that i can no longer use the trim on my console as it's not necessary.....still using compression on my drums though and the shit bangs that much harder.....but I need a compressor/gate/expander such as the 266xl (no longer have it) as the 166 which i currently own does not have these types of functions, at least from what I've read in the manual. I'm still familiarizing myself with compression...it's extremely important with hiphop drums especially, as well as electric or acoustic bass and music samples.
